THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO CAME OUT TO HELP US CELEBRATE OUR 30th ANNIVERSARY LAST MONTH!!!

In this time of social distancing, as we are all missing the ability to come together in community around the things we care about, we wanted to take a moment and #throwbackthursday to just a month ago (though it feels like years…) when over 90 of us were able to gather at the lovely RWP Casino and celebrate PNPP’s THIRTY impactful years of tree planting partnerships in our city!!!

We ate and drank delicious food & drink (thank you again Pizza J, Revival Brewing Company, Campus Fine Wines, and Yacht Club Soda!), looked at a photo gallery of PNPP through the years, recognized members of our tree community with PNPP Impact and Community Stewardship Awards, learned about the soon-to-launch PVD Tree Plan process and its focus on building an even more resilient and equitable tree canopy, and got fired up about the next 30 years of trees in PVD!

As with pretty much everything else in the world right now, plans for our Spring Tree Planting Season are uncertain. What IS certain–and what this celebration reminded us of–is how INCREDIBLY lucky we are to have such an amazing network of dedicated and passionate tree planters and stewards in our city. And before too long, we will again be working together to grow and steward our urban forest…
