Commemorative Donation Program

Honoring people by planting trees is an ancient custom, appropriate to many occasions – a special event or to memorialize someone. It brings pleasure and good health to both present and future generations. Using this concept, the “Commemorative Giving Program” provides a way for people to honor and memorialize persons of their choice, while at the same time greatly benefiting the city. Although no single tree will be planted in an Honoree’s name, a contribution invested in the Endowment’s principal will produce income throughout the years to plant trees for future generations.

To make a commemorative or charitable donation to PNPP, visit the Rhode Island Foundation website’s Our Funds page, type street trees in the search field, press enter and then click on the donate button next to the Mary Elizabeth Sharpe Street Tree Endowment.
